Terms & Conditions

Memoir is a collaborative disposable-camera experience for events. Hosts create films; guests capture limited shots; photos may remain hidden until a chosen reveal time.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Memoir. If you use Memoir on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Hosts sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of unauthorized use.

Hosts set film titles, timing, reveal rules, guest limits, and shot limits. Guests may join via link or QR code. You agree not to share invite links in a way that enables abuse or unauthorized access.

Hosts are responsible for obtaining any consents needed for event photography in their jurisdiction and for how guest content is used after the film develops.

You retain ownership of photos and text you upload (“User Content”). You grant Memoir a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute User Content solely to operate and improve the Services (including showing content to film participants and generating previews).

You represent that you have all rights needed to upload User Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate law.

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, hateful, pornographic involving minors, or abusive content
• Harass, impersonate, or invade others’ privacy
• Attempt to bypass shot limits, reveal timing, or security controls
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services
• Use Memoir for spam or unauthorized commercial solicitation

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Some film capacities or features require a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple or Google. Prices may change. Purchases are subject to the platform’s refund and billing rules. Unless required by law or platform policy, fees are non-refundable once a paid film has been created or used.

Memoir’s name, logo, design, software, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them except as needed to use the Services.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect photo quality, or that content will never be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memoir and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of photos, profits, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

You may stop using Memoir at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by nature should survive (including licenses already granted to display shared content, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your primary place of business for Memoir’s operating entity, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue, except where prohibited by consumer protection law.
